Life happens so fast. There are so many external stimulants that can easily distract ourselves from our inner world. Recently, I feel like I have lost connection with who I am. Things didn’t happen as I wanted or planned and to me, that is the definition of failure. Crazy, I know!
Today, I took the time to reel myself in. To remind me of who I am and everything I’ve achieved. A self pep-talk, if you will. A reminder that I got here. And even if things look difficult right now, it will work out in the best possible way. So, what do I do when that happens?
I go back to what I know.
When things are spinning out of control, I go back to the beginning. I go back to the things I know. Even when I don’t think whatever is happening right now is the best, I know the best is always happening to me. I know that things are always working out for me. I know that things are always in favor of me. I know I am strong and powerful. I know I can pivot anything. I know I can transform any situation and find a solution to any problem. I know I am blessed. I know I am supported. I know I am cared for. I know that I am a child of God and God blesses me infinitely. I know I am disciplined, driven and dedicated. I know I can bounce back higher from any low.
I remind myself who I am.
Acknowledgement and self-recognition are a very big part of maturing emotionally. It’s the willingness to give myself those things only I can, instead of wishing that from something or someone outside of me. So, I remind myself of how powerful and amazing I am. I remember who I am. I sometimes will write something and have Siri read it to me. It goes something Like this:
You’re the creator of your reality, and that’s an incredibly powerful position to be in. Every day, you’re shaping your life with your choices, actions, and thoughts. Recognize the wonderful life you’ve created for yourself. It’s filled with experiences and moments that are uniquely yours. You’re doing wonderfully, and your journey is a testament to your strength and creativity. Keep believing in yourself and your ability to shape your world.
I journal.
Words are healing. The power words hold are just magnificent. There is nothing I haven’t gotten myself out of through writing. Whenever my mind is scattered or I am emotionally overwhelmed, I put pen to paper – or finger to screen, if that’s my best option.
There is something powerful about writing. I really do believe I have the power to write my own destiny, so that is a really potent catalyst to me. There is just something magical about putting words in a paper or even writing it on my Notes app that will give me clarity about whatever I am dealing with. It is a very fast way of materializing (manifesting) words into existence in the physical world.
I affirm.
Affirmations have become a really big part of my life, specially after my Bar Exam prep. I affirm or listen to subliminals daily.
My goal today was to acknowledge that I am the creator of my life. If I created it, I can change it. Accountability and transformation rolled into one. I also wanted to empower me to make that change while soothing me in the moment, so I can start enjoying my life right this moment. It went like this:
- I am the creator of my reality. Everything I experience is a reflection of my own creation.
- I acknowledge the beauty and worth of the life I’ve built. It’s a journey filled with growth and learning.
- I appreciate all the amazing things I’ve created. My achievements, big and small, are significant and valuable.
- I allow myself to enjoy and find joy in every moment. I recognize the happiness that’s present in my life.
- I am safe and secure, knowing that everything is working out in my favor. The universe supports my journey.
- I trust that everything will continue to work out. My future holds wonderful possibilities.
Affirmations are not just words. They are statements. A powerful reminder of the incredible power within. A doorway to all possibilities available. What will I choose to create now?
And this is how I do it. Whenever this finds you, I wish it will be uplifting and contribute to you in some way.
With Love,
P.
